Skills Activities at Bray Lake

spacer

Below you will find options for half day, full day and series of skills courses available at Bray Lake. There are different options available for school groups wishing to concentrate on individual sports and work towards National Governing Body (NGB) certificates of competence i.e Royal Yachting Assocation (RYA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) awards.  In addition, we can cover GCSE or NVQ syllabus and/or Duke of Edinburgh Awards.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Centre to discuss your requirements further.

Starting working towards certificates

Full or Half Day Skill Session

Learn to windsurf

The focus will be about having fun but our instructors will concentrate on covering specific skills requirements as set out in the NGB junior schemes. Individuals will be able to follow and chart their progress and success in the appropriate log book (purchased separately).

This is aimed at providing a thorough introduction to the chosen sport. There will be enough time to gain a good level of competence and it is anticipated that most participants will achieve RYA Stage 1 in dinghy sailing or windsurfing or Paddlepower Passport for canoeing/kayaking.

A half day taster session (2-3 hour session) is an alternative for schools that cannot commit to a full day, however, the time will only allow for an introduction to your chosen sport.

All log books and certification are charged separately.
