A Watersports Day is a fun multi-activity watersports days are a popular choice for school groups of all ages. The sessions allow young people the chance to experience the thrill and challenges of more than one activity over the period of the day.

The time spent on any one activity can be tailor made to suit the group’s requirements, however each session should provide enough time to achieve a reasonable level of success, whilst not being so long as to allow boredom and fatigue to set in.

Based on our experience, we have suggested a programme below making use of a choice of 3 activities each lasting 1½ hours. You can choose from either windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, dinghy sailing or land challenges.

• 0930-10.00 - Arrive Welcome brief and change
• 10.00-13.15 - Activities 1 and 2 with 15min break in between
• 13.15-13.45 - Break for lunch
• 13.45-15.15 - Activty 3
• 15.15-15.45 - Change, certificates awarded and depart

Developed specifically with school groups in mind, an Adventure Day is all about communication and team building skills when tackling a mixture of land and water based challenges.

The sesions have been created to ensure that it is not all about who goes fastest, its more about the group that works most efficiently as a team that will have the biggest advantage and is usually the group that wins!

Teams will be under the guidance and supervision of an instructor who will assist the group to work together to successfully negotiate a variety of different challenges.  Points will be awarded accordingly for all activities and the team with the great number of points wins!

The Adventure Day can be run at any time of year and can be as 'dry' or 'wet' as necessary, depending on time of year or group requirements.  Suggested programme:

• 09.30-10.00 - Arrive.  Welcome brief and change.
• The day will consist of a mixture of water-based activities, such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing and kayaking/canoeing, and some land-based challenges.  See Monkey Trail for details of some of the challenges available.
• 15.15-15.45 - Change.  Prize giving and certificates.
