Private tuition and Turbo Track courses are predominately run during weekdays, you will be taught by senior instructors using premium equipment. Tuition is based around your free time! Weekend sessions are possible, however, it is dependent on instructor availability as group courses take precedence.

Turbo Track Intro to Paddlesports
BCU 1 Star (Part A)
This is the first half of the Turbo Track Start Kayak/Canoe course which covers:
- Basics of launching and landing
- Paddling forwards
- How to steer, turn and stop
If you enjoy yourself, and to want to continue paddling, sign up for Part B and you will have gained all the skills necessary to paddle on placid waters.

Learn to the basics of kayaking and canoeing on a one-to-one basis
Turbo Track Start Kayak/Canoe
BCU 1 Star (Part A & B)
This course is an excellent starting point for the complete beginner and will provide you with the perfect introduction into a diverse water sport. Most of the tuition will be on the water where you will quickly learn the basics of paddling, including:
- Launching and landing
- Steering, turning and stopping
- Introduction to various stroke techniques
- Capsize prevention
- If more tuition time is needed to complete the course, you will be invited back completely free of charge

On completion of the course, the BCU 1 Star certificate will enable you to paddle on placid water with confidence. If you are keen to learn how to paddle on moving water you will need to go on to complete the intermediate course, or why not sign up for the full Turbo Track package.

From paddling with confidence to paddling with style
Turbo Track Improver
Kayak/Canoe
BCU 2 Star (Parts C & D)
At this level you can really experience the benefits of personal tuition with one of our senior instructors. Our Turbo Track Improver course is designed around a series of clinics.
These sessions will take place at the Lake and on the River Thames. This will give you the opportunity to use and improve your skills in different locations. The river is a great place to paddle and expand your paddling experience. After each clinic your instructor will give you feed back on your progress and set goals for further practice.
- You will need to practise to consolidate your new skills, an exclusive turbo track hire package is available to help
- Recap on all BCU 1 Star techniques. Improved forward and backward paddling.
- Improved turning and ruddering techniques.
- Improved draw strokes.
- Support strokes and deep water rescues (This will be a wet session).
- The theory elements of the course will be covered thoughout the clinics.

This really is the ultimate package so buckle up for your Turbo Track journey from Zero to Hero!
We will take you through all aspects of the Turbo Track Start Kayaking/Canoeing and Improver Kayaking/Canoeing courses. To complement these tuition sessions you will have plenty of opportunity to practice and improve your techniques with your inclusive supervised practise hire card. The time scale for this tuition package is left completely up to you!
By the end of this amazing package you should look and feel like a real paddler with all the core skills necessary to take you all the way within the sport!
