Dinghy Sailing Taster Session
An hour's private tuition will give you a 'feel' for the sport as well as providing an insight into the exciting and dynamic world of sailing, and is a great way to dip a toe in the water before moving to the Start Dinghy Sailing course.

Intro to Dinghy Sailing
RYA Level 1 (Part A)
If you've any doubts about taking up dinghy sailing and simply want to give it a go, then this is the course for you. This is the first part of the Start Dinghy Sailing course.
- You will be taught the basics of rigging a boat
- You will learn how to sail across the wind and upwind
- You will find out how to turn and then return to shore
If you enjoy this session, go on to complete Part B - Sail with Supervision - and gain your Level 1 certificate allowing you to helm a dinghy under supervision at Bray Lake in light winds.

Tried sailing before, but don't have any qualifications?
Sail with Supervision
RYA Level 1 (Parts B)
This course is ideal if you've already tried a bit of sailing and perhaps haven't sailed in a while.
- you will improve your ability to sail across the wind
- develop your tacking and gybing skills
- you will cover the necessary theory
By completing this course you should achieve the standards necessary to helm a dinghy under supervision. To hire independently you will need to continue developing your skills and move on to the Level 2 course or follow the remaining modules (parts C and D).

Get the basics before commiting to the full package
Start Dinghy Sailing
RYA Level 1 (Parts A & B)
This course covers your first steps of learning to sail and the sailing basics. You will be taught how to control your boat as well as the necessary theory so that you helm a dinghy under supervision.
The RYA Level 1 certificate provides only the basics, if you want to sail unsupervised we recommend that you follow up with Dinghy Sailing Improver or why not sign up to the complete Fast Track package.
If you should require further time to gain your certificate, we will invite you back completely free of charge.

Learn to Dinghy Sail
Fast Track Package (Parts A-D)
This exciting package will get the complete beginner sailing with confidence.
- Run at weekends on a group tuition basis
- The Start Dinghy Course takes your through the basics of sailing, working towards the RYA Level 1 certificate.
- The Intermediate Dinghy Course will develop those skills learnt on the Start course and introduce you to more advanced skills ultimately leading to the freedom to confidently and independently helm a dinghy in light to moderate winds.
- Inclusive supervised hire of up to 6 hours plus wetsuit and buoyancy aid hire (worth up to £210)
