This is the first half of the Start Windsurfing course which covers:

• Basics of sailing across the wind
• Turning around
• Launching and landing
• Getting to know your kit

If you enjoy yourself, and to want to continue windsurfing, sign up for Part B and obtain your Certifcate of Competence which is your gateway to hire.

This course is ideal if you've already tried a bit of windsurfing and perhaps haven't sailed in a while.

• You will recap some of the basic skills
• Develop your tacking and gybing skills
• You will be taught how to windsurf on all points of the wind as well as how to reutrn to your starting point

By the end of the course you will be sailing with confidence and having gained your RYA Certifcate of Competence you will be free to hire or sail your own equipment both at home and abroad.

This course could well be the start of a life long passion of windsurfing. The aim of the course is to teach you all the skills necessary to obtain the Certificate of Competence which is your gateway to hiring equipment.

• You will develop an understanding of all the necessary safety issues surround the sport
