Instructor Courses 2015

This April we have a few spaces limited on our windsurfing start and intermediate instructor courses, so if you are looking to discover a whole new way of life, or want to take your instructor skills to the next level, give the Centre a call to find out more.  Read more about our Windsurfing Instructor courses. The Intermediate course will run 7-10 April, and the Start instructor course is scheduled for the following week 13-17 April.

For the young aspiring instructor, we also have our incredibly popular Assistant Instructor course, which a part from learning the basics of instructing also gives you the opportunity to come and work at the Lake alongside fully qualified instructors and gain valuable experience – all of which helps in the next step to becoming an instructor but also looks great on your CV.

Get Out There, and Go For It!

Winter is almost behind us, and with the promise of better weather to come, now is the perfect time to start getting back out on the water more regularly to blow away the cob webs and to build up your sailing and windsurfing muscles ready for a full season ahead!!  Saturday mornings is the ideal time to come down and make the most of our adult windsurfing and sailing club, when an instructor is on hand to help you sort out kit (whether that’s your own or something you’re hiring), give you some tips and advice so you get on the water with confidence and generally supervise whilst you get back out on the water.

No more excuses, come down this Saturday and get back in the boat or on the board, and go sailing!

New Windsurfing Kit

Some new windsurfing kit is winging its way to the Lake for you to try out. There will be a range of Tushingham Bolts, Starboard Atoms and Carves and then mid-August we should be taking stock of some new 2015 Geckos.

In the meantime to whet your appetite, check out the new Bolt from Tushingham.

Timo Mullen at Magheroarty Classic

Timo Mullen

In Costa Brava for the 2013 Starboard International Dealers' Meeting, Timo Mullen showed us this clip, entirely filmed at Magheroarty, in the Northwest of Ireland. According to Timo, the month of September has been pretty exceptional in Ireland, with wind and waves almost everyday! However, nothing was said about the temperature!
