We have a range of beginner courses to give you a taste of windsurfing to suit those who just want to have a go through to those who want to take windsurfing beyond the basics.  All courses include equipment and wetsuit hire, no hidden extras.

Want to have a go at windsurfing?  An hour's private tuition will give you with a 'feel' for the sport as well as providing an insight into the exciting and dynamic world of windsurfing, which hopefully will entice you on to a Start Windsurfing course. And as an additional incentive when you book on to the Start course we will discount the course by 20% (conditions apply).  For further details contact the Centre.

If you've any doubts about taking up windsurfing and just want to give it a go before taking the plunge (not literally!) then try out 4 hour ‘Introduction to Windsurfing’ course.

The session will consist of the first half of the Start Windsurfing weekend course which will cover the basics of sailing across the wind and turning (tacking) around

Hopefully you will enjoy the introduction and decide to continue windsurfing then you will have the opportunity, if you so choose, to come back the next day to complete the second part of the Start Windsurfing course which on completion will provide you with Level 1 certification enabling you to hire equipment from us or any other windsurfing centre around the world.

Had a go before, need a quick brush up or ready to get your RYA certificate of competence?  This is the course for you.

The session is the second half of our 'Start Windsurfing' course, here you will perfect your basic skills, improve your confidence and get you sailing on all points of the wind, tacking and gybing.  This internationally recognised certificate is the gate way to hiring or sailing your own equipment.

If you find yourself bitten by the bug and want to push your windsurfing skills further and faster, then why not try our Fast Track Windsurfing Package.

Our Start Windsurfing course combines the 'Intro to' and ' Windsurf with Confidence' courses which includes a short dry-land simulator session with on water practise and coaching, safety considerations and basic sailing theory.

The course is run over 2 x 4 hour sessions (Sat and Sun).
We guarantee success!  If you should need more tuition you will be invited back on the next suitable Sunday, absolutely free of charge.
Included with this course is £60 supervised hire, so that you can practise and perfect your new skills

RYA Official Course

If you are ready to take up the challenge and are serious about learning to windsurf then this is the package for you! The ‘Learn to Windsurf’ Fast Track Package is aimed at getting you to a confident and competent standard as quickly as possible.  In our experience, this has proved to be the most popular and successful route into windsurfing.

You will first do our ‘Start Windsurfing’ course (2 x 4hrs Sat & Sun) covering all the basic sailing skills and safety issues. If it is felt that more tuition time is required you will be invited back on the next suitable Sunday, absolutely free of charge. We guarantee success!
Fine-tune those new skills and build up your confidence at your own pace by using your Hire Card to take advantage of inclusive supervised hire. Safety cover is always at hand and instructors will be available to help and assist you when rigging up, launching and landing.
When you've made full use of your hire card you will be ready to attend our ‘Windsurf Intermediate’ course (2 x 4hrs Sat & Sun) which will introduce you to new skills, bigger sails, and have you sailing faster and turning quicker than you ever thought possible.

On finishing the course you will be confident and knowledgeable enough to sail safely, (within your limitations), and without the need of safety cover. You may choose to continue sailing at the Lake, explore other inland waters, or venture down to the coast.
