For the 3rd year in a row, Bray Lake Watersports will be hosting the British SUP Club Championships. This event is the 2nd biggest SUP event in the UK with 227 paddlers taking part, only beaten by the Head of the Dart SUP Challenge (who had 265), and will take place on Saturday 29th September.
This is an action packed day with paddlers taking part in distance, technical, sprints as well as team events including dragon racing. It will see 17 clubs from around the country battling it out, all looking to see who will be crowed British SUP Club Champion 2018.
Bray has never won the event and this year a team of 25 have taken up the challenge to see if they can put this right, particularly being on home turf!
It will be an exceptionally busy weekend as some of the visiting club members will be camping on the Friday and Saturday.
If you are not racing, please feel free to pop down and cheer on Team Bray.
Go Team Bray!
As we will now be able to get back down the cut we can start doing our river cruises and litter picks again. 23rd September will be the next SUP litter pick.
